Dr. DeYoung takes a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach to therapy. She integrates evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and parent-focused interventions to meet individual needs and support meaningful and lasting change.
• EDUCATION
Dr. DeYoung earned her B.S. in Psychology and Spanish from Fordham University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University. She completed her predoctoral clinical internship at the DC Superior Court Child Guidance Clinic, where she received specialized training working with youth and families navigating complex behavioral health, school, and legal systems.
• BACKGROUND
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Lena is a bilingual German American who has also lived in Spain and speaks proficient Spanish. Outside of clinical work, she enjoys soccer, traveling, cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, and exploring Philadelphia's food scene.
